Donna M. MacKenzie devotes a majority of her practice to representing individuals injured as a result of nursing home neglect and abuse as well as medical malpractice. She also specializes in the litigation of other personal injury matters including automobile accidents and senior investment fraud. Ms. MacKenzie has written numerous appellate briefs on behalf of injury victims in both state and federal courts. She is the author of a number of articles regarding Medicare liens and reimbursement rights in personal injury matters and frequently lectures on this topic at seminars. She has been a featured speaker at seminars presented by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, State Bar of Michigan, American Association for Justice, and Michigan Association for Justice. Ms. MacKenzie's recent honors include recognition as a 2010 Up & Coming Lawyer by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, and a Pacesetter by the Michigan Association for Justice. Ms. MacKenzie is on the Executive Committee and Executive Board for the Michigan Association for Justice. She also serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice, the Executive Committee for the American Association for Justice's New Lawyers Division, and is a Director of the Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyers Committee and a Special Committee Chair for the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan.
